Sex me’ game lands Lakewood pair in jail At least 14 cars damaged by rocks dropped from overpass. Adam Lynn; The News Tribune
A game of strip poker in the privacy of a bedroom somewhere would have been a lot less costly for Amanda Madison, Joshua Neil Sizemore and the drivers who stumbled into their game of “Sex Me” early Monday, according to court records.
But Madison, 18, and Sizemore, 23, decided to take their game of get-naked to a railroad trestle over Interstate 5 near Lakewood, authorities said.
The result: 14 damaged cars (including a Washington State Patrol cruiser), one injured person and 14 charges of second-degree assault against Madison and Sizemore.
Oh, and Madison and Sizemore got their pictures on the 5 o’clock news.
Both pleaded not guilty Tuesday to the assault charges against them. Bail was set at $40,000 for Sizemore and $50,000 for Madison. Investigators still were tallying the damage done to the cars hit by rocks and plan to file additional charges later.
While no one was seriously injured – a taxi passenger suffered a bruised arm – a state trooper wrote in a report that one of the fist-sized rocks “could have easily caused grave bodily harm or death if it struck someone on the head.”
Confronted by troopers near the trestle, Sizemore and Madison – who was clad only in her underwear – initially denied dropping the rocks, according to court records. Placed in separate cars and grilled by troopers, the two eventually fessed up, the records state.
In a handwritten statement, Sizemore said he and Madison had gone to the trestle over I-5 to relax, according to charging papers. He took along some rocks to drop onto the freeway, the papers state.
“He stated he wasn’t aiming for any cars but ‘just wanted to drop some rocks and play sex me,’” deputy prosecutor Lisa Wagner wrote in charging documents.
Told of Sizemore’s statement, Madison admitted that she, too, had thrown rocks at cars, the documents state.
The court documents don’t explain the rules of “Sex Me,” but troopers said it involved Madison shedding a layer of clothes each time a rock busted the left headlight of a car. Sizemore was to take off some clothes for each right headlight,
They apparently weren’t very good shots.
“Several of the damaged vehicles had been struck in the windshield and others on the vehicle hoods or roofs,” Wagner wrote in her charging documents.
